Nailing Your Message on Instagram

Maybe you have been inundated with information lately? Too much information makes me freeze and I can’t make a decision to save my life. 🥶 The online space is noisy and so many accounts that teach Instagram are soooo unrelatable.

My 2024 is all about ease. In fact I repeat it to myself a few times a day. Let it be easy. I know you need social media to be easier too. If you are over 40 like me,  (I am 53)  you may wonder what in the heck do I post? I find myself very boring, BUT I have learned that people are curious, and we really don’t have to be sharing deep dark secrets to be interesting.

Let me give you the lens I put my ideas through that helps me decide what to share in my content. I ask myself two questions.

1) Does this idea, story or information share WHO I am? Does it share my values?

Or

2) Does this story or information share WHAT I  DO? Does it show how to work with me or what results may come from working with me?

We are always toggling between the two ideas, sharing with your audience WHO you are and WHAT you do. 🥳

Nailing your message is in this magical mix. Most of us are looking to serve clients who are like us or a version of a past us. The best way to connect to someone like us is to share who we are. I bet your head is flowing with ideas now. Good. Now go write the post, hop on stories and share!! And please don’t talk yourself out of the idea. All marketing is a test. If you talk about something and it gets no reaction, now you know.

Keep sharing. You will find the topics and stories that resonate with your people and you will see an increase in feedback on the topics that they want more of. Keep going!  You will find your rhythm.
