Climbing the Ladder of Believability

Are you Upper Limiting yourself?!

Because m guilty of this on the days that end in “y”.

In The Big Leap, by Gay Hendricks, it is explained like this… You have success. It feels good and you want to celebrate it and you do for a brief moment. But once you achieve something, it can be anything, your mind starts to pull you back into the warm, cozy, familiar place that doesn’t scare you with unknowns.

If you don’t actively combat the mindset of doubt and fear your mind will always create a reason or stir up some turmoil that brings you back. A bill will show up, two clients will cancel on you, on and on.

I actively have to work against my limiting beliefs. I worry about my business being successful and I worry it will pull me away from my family. We have so much going for us as women over 40 but limiting beliefs still show up. Everything about being an entrepreneur is uncomfortable!

We have to get really good at talking back to our doubts, our fears and especially the fear of success.

This is how I combat the limiting beliefs that threaten to shut me down day in and day out. I built a Ladder of Believability. I baby step my way to my big goals. If I can’t believe in the big granddaddy scary goal at the end then I don’t focus on it so much. I focus on the small goals in front of me. When I achieve a small goal, I celebrate it! I am building the belief in myself one rung at a time.

Do you need to start small too? Tell me what wins can I help you celebrate? Did you post a selfie this week? Book a podcast? Send an email? Land a new client? ALL CELEBRATION worthy events.
