Refresh That Bio

Let’s do it!  Refresh that BIO.  I answer this question a lot.  It is the first thing I do in my Start Here Package and it is an important part of your social media strategy. 

Like I tell my teenagers, people are programmed to take in information through the lense of “what’s in it for me?” Make sure your followers know your value.

Thankfully we don’t have to reinvent the wheel.  @JasmineStar teaches  Mel Abraham’s Value Articulator Statement.   I was lucky enough to be at one of her trainings and I am sharing the goods with you here. 

Answer 4 questions and then use the formula to create your value statement.

1) What specific problem do you solve?

2) Who do you serve?

3) How do you serve them?

4) Why would they choose YOU?

I help_______(who) do ______(what) so that _____

(result) unlike _______(alternative result) because_____

(distinction/why). 

Save this for later when you have a quiet minute to reflect and think about your value statement.
